BVD Petroleum purchased a parcel of land, just over eight acres, adjacent to Highway 401 in Cornwall, ON. The area is a major truck transport hub for the distribution of goods along the 401 corridor to and from Canada and the USA. The project was to plan for the development of the site as a truck fueling centre and trailer parking facility along with highway commercial ancillary uses. As the site location precluded municipal services being available, a significant aspect of the project was the coordination of private water and wastewater. The stormwater management required significant post-development controls to meet stringent municipal and Conservation Authority requirements. A future phase of the project includes additional free-standing restaurant and hotel uses.
